National Math Honor Society
Mu Alpha Theta
Mu Alpha Theta is the National Math Honor Society dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics among high school students. Mu Alpha Theta chapters exist in more than 2,300 schools in the United States and in 20 other nations.
To be eligible for consideration a student must:
- Complete Algebra II/Trigonometry
- Maintain at least a 93% average in all Math classes,
- Earn an overall average of at least 90%
- Not have accrued more than 7 demerits
- Be recommended by at least two teachers
