Requirements
The THHS Arista Honor Society is a chapter of the National Honor Society. The Arista mission is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service, promote leadership, and develop character in our students. Selection for this honor society is based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Community service projects help students meet the required service component. Specific requirements for selection are below.
Minimum requirements:
*Minimum of 90% cumulative GPA (2016-2017 weighted avg)
*Minimum of 50 hours of community service in the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters (combined). A maximum of 10 hours can come from in school activities.
*Minimum of 1 club credit (0.5 credit awarded per club per semester, 1 credit per athletic team)
*Maximum of 5 active demerits
The induction takes place in December. *Freshman are not eligible for Arista. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible for Arista.
