Mr. Sweeney is an English teacher at Townsend Harris. He is also the advisor to The Classic, the award-winning student newspaper of THHS.

He teaches Sophomore English, the Senior Humanities Seminar, and Journalism electives.

Mr. Sweeney is also the director of the THHS Writers Academy and helps run the school's Reading Initiative. See the links page for more information about each.
