One of the main goals of Townsend Harris High School is to assist in your educational and social development. Our code of discipline is designed to promote a sense of the rights and responsibilities of a citizen in a democratic society. This is implicit in the Ephebic Oath which is respected by all Townsend Harris students. Expectations include:

•    Respect for oneself
•    Respect for others and their rights and property
•    Respect for the property of the Townsend Harris community
•    Respect for the legally constituted authority and the legal responsibility of those in authority
 
The Townsend Harris Code of Behavior is a supplement to the Citywide discipline Code. With the cooperation of the Townsend Harris High School community, the Code of Behavior and Discipline Code will provide a positive and fair approach to dealing with unacceptable behavior.
