Principal's Message
Townsend Harris High School is a New York City public school comprised of our city’s most talented young people and dedicated teachers and staff. We take great pride in the rigor of our curriculum, the quality of our instruction, and the performance of our students. Our school is regularly accorded accolades by national and local reports on high schools.
Townsend Harris was re-founded in 1984 through the advocacy of our Alumni Association, which continues to support the school in many ways. In addition, our vibrant PTA works to ensure that our parents are involved in their children’s education and provides additional services for our students.
In all of our teaching and learning, we aspire to live the Ephebic Oath, which challenges us to leave our city greater than we found it, and to stay true to our school’s mission of preparing students to make meaningful contributions to the world.
