Townsend Harris High School's average daily attendance is over 97%, one of the highest in New York City. Students who are absent are expected to bring in a note upon their return to school. The diligent staff in the attendance office take a personal approach and make a phone call home when a student is absent. Our students value the importance of being present in school and in class, and it is reflected in our attendance statistics.
