Hi how are sites I have been pushing into the writing process classes and some of the English classes about how to access are ebooks and audiobooks that Townsend Harris High School in the New York City Department Jason has purchased for your use self I am sharing this video with you because I know some of you have been having some difficulty or some of your classes still haven't met with me and I want to make sure that you all know that we have library eBooks and audiobooks for you to use with that said you're going to go to Sora app.com right and when you do that and if you've never signed into store before this is what you're going to be Sora open a world of reading find my school and on the bottom down here I have a set of code right please don't click find my school because you will not be able to find Townsend Harris High 12% said you're going to click on I have a set of coat after you've clicked on I have a set of code look up typing this code NYC schools New York City school and then click on get started when you get started going to ask you to sign in with your. Credentials your deal you're the only students your deal with credentials are your password and username that you use to log into zoom zoom account your deal we email schools the students I believe is the extension but that's the email that you're going teachers-teachers you're going to log in with your does username and password for your email you're going to go up here and you're going to click in sign in using New York City Department of Education and it takes you to the New York City sign in page and I'm going to put in my email and I'm going to put in my password and I'm going to click sign it but it will take you to the store app and this is what it looks like right right now I I have a book available that I borrowed so if you've borrowed books using this or a poor on the Storm you've done this before you'll see your books here if you've never signed into a store app it will have none enlisted up here there will be no loans there will be no assignments and you won't you'll have these sections but you won't have anything there which is perfectly fine you can click on the hamburger that is up here you're at the top of your screen to three little lines call it a hamburger and it will open and you will see that I am logged in you can add I'm under my New York City Department of Education account but if you look carefully you will see set my New York City public library card is the year and ypl my Queens public library card is also listed and I can add Brooklyn Public Library so I can just type in Brooklyn we are okay with one Heights Brooklyn Public Library right here I can click that and it's showing most books from Brooklyn collection okay got it then when it's time for me to borrow a book right I want to borrow it's going to ask me to put in my barcode is on the back of your library card and the pin number that you gave when you when you set up your library account when you set up your library card remember everyone that lives in New York state is entitled to a library card from Brooklyn from Queens and from New York you want to make sure that you get all three there are videos on the Townsend Harris High School website to let you get all three and you can hook them up to your store and it gives you access to thousands of ebook thousands of audio books hundreds of digital movies and hundreds of databases so if you have any questions or concerns about hooking up your store account if you can't hook up your sore account you have trouble getting a public library card or you need help setting up this account send me an email at a laverde at Townsend Harris.
