Very quick tutorial on where to find the THHS databases.

Arc Light this is a new video about searching Johnson's databases because I changed up the library's website since the last video I posted and I just want to make sure everything is streamlined and clear so in order to search Townsend Harris High School database has the easiest bread is to start on the Townsend Harris website and you're going to go to the academic section and then you're going to click on Library there are a bunch of resources it's on the library page if you look at the right hand side of the screen but I am going to show you how to search the databases that we subscribe to you're going to click on databases and then you're going a list of databases and their subscription on we have Gale databases we have the Encyclopedia Britannica we have Queens College library now Queens College library unfortunately is only for the upper class the seniors who are registered for seminar courses or electives underclassmen while we are remote and you are working from home you will not have access to Queens College databases when we get to school and you can search Queen pause databases using this link but unfortunately you can't use them from home and then I have links to the Queens public the Brooklyn Public and the New York Public Library systems which each have their own unique databases and you should take a look at how to apply for a library card so that you can access each of the system I am going to post a couple of videos to show you how to access databases there but right now I'm just going to show you how to access the Townsend Harris right now subscribed to if you go to Gale databases and you click on this link it's going to open in a new window I clear my cache so I'm not sure if it's going to ask me for crossword but let's take a look I click on Gale databases and it did not ask me for a password if it does I can't tell you the password in the video but please if you can fill out the form here out at the library inform and I'll send you the powder if you can know if you want you can send me an email and I'll be happy to give you the password for that date for those databases so if you click here these are the databases that Townsend Harris have access to you can search them individually you could search them all together depending on what you're looking for so I believe there are 42 or 43 different databases ranging from General onefile to Environmental Studies gender studies health information science military pop culture studies popular magazine articles u.s. history Sol war on terrorism and world history there's a lot of databases here for your needs for school I will post a video on how to search them I just did she let you know where the Gale databases live all so you can search the Encyclopedia Britannica if you click here it's going to ask you to your location you're going to use your location verify that you're in New York click allow and it will open up the Britannica School and you can search the elementary middle or High School Encyclopedia Britannica and you are in Define all your research needs I just wanted to make this video very short for a quick just to let you know that the resources are there for you to use if you find that you need an article that you can't find in these databases send me an email and I will do my best to get the information that you need happy searching have a great school year and don't forget if you need me I am here for your help
