hi Mary Sipes just wanted to show you a tool that I've discovered that will help you create your work cited pages on your bibliography season with a little bit more he's it does what easy bib.com. but without all the ads and pop-ups and it is absolutely 100 a completely free right now so I would advise you to take advantage and create your account is called my babe and I'm going to walk you through how to set up a my bib account as well as creating your citations for whatever projects you have now right now my screen is going to look a bit different from yours to create you're my boo account you going to go to my babe. Calm it's going to ask you to create an account I would tell you to create your account with your Townsend Harris High School Google account because if you do you will be able to one clue your citations Street into your drive and save them for later use you don't have to create an account to use this on you can create a bibliography without having an account but it won't save anywhere so if use your Google your Google account that you have your Townsend Harris. Org account when you save your work cited page when you can save it straight to drive that's a really great features for then you have it so this is what it looks like I have already logged into my account a liberty at Townsend house. Org when you create a new account as you hover over features it will give you a little brief descriptions about what they do and give you hints and tips I've already gone through it so it doesn't pop up on mine but it's really cool so you should take a couple seconds in each of the tips to help you out you work cited page has a little bit more easily so I'm going to start a new project and I'm going to name it sample because it's a sample bibliography so that you can see how this who works at names it here sample and then you have a couple of features here you have your creative citation which is straightforward this is how you're going to create your citations here is import you can Court citation files but this is a little convoluted right now because some citation files upload very join and help you create it if you're working on a group project and you're adding citations that's a great way to do it and then here after we created our work cited page we can download it and I'll show you that after we have with any bunch of citation so you can see what it looks like right so I am going to create a citation answer my little spoiled the first one is website ISO first select the type of source you want a site and then search for it in the search box so I have already have a work a website here that I'm going to copy the URL and I am going to paste the URL ear and after I've pasted it I am going to click search we found some results now you going to SEC select one to auto-generate when you only have one until you hear that it's probably credit right that it's a credible source that you can feel confident that the information that you're going to get here is good information now please remember that this is still a computer regenerated tool right so you want to review your sources don't just take my babes word that the information you're getting is credible read over the information carefully check what are what are biased might be check check these things because you want to be confident in the tools that you use in the information that you use that is credible for your for your work done that you're going to click on it when is going to ask you to check over website I can put the URL or I can enter it manually here and then that check box thing you can type in the information yourself going to create another Citation for a book right and I'm going to search for the book Harry Potter chambered now I can put in the title or I could put in the ISBN number and click search right and here you'll see you have a bunch of rent a bunch of different choices and some of them have pictures if you have used a specific Edition and this is the Edition disses to the 2018 Edition with sometimes books are different so just be aware that you get and pick the one that you used so I am going to say that I used to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets I'm looking I'm looking number to use date it was published in that is because this is the newest edition of the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and I am going to click save that's the first printing thank you it is there now I am looking around I don't have a book like you have lying I have a book handy I hope it's in the database I'm not a hundred I'm sure it is so we will see if it's in it what happens and if it's not so here is a book and I am going to search using the ISBN number which is 07689 10196 right and then I'm going to click search no results found and I'm going to show you the book it is my husband's Refrigeration book so it's not in the database which I can understand why I can still enter it manually and I can put the book author with his Antonio mejias Antonio in a really cool is here it gives you tips on how to put in the information so if you're not a hundred percent sure make sure you read the text right and you have the why don't you know the capitalization for rules apply is Eurasian icen in Spain the date it was published was 2002 is no month is the second now my database articles my journal articles are all coming from my online sources and I can't really leave like copy and paste them in here which is a little frustrating for me so I am done with my my bib but I want to add some citations that I got the Gale databases sounds inscribes to or from New York Public Libraries databases that you have access to now so I'm going to download my work cited page and there's a bunch of different things that you can do document you can do a Word document on Google Drive and that's what I'm going to do I'm going to go to Google try and I'm going to save it and it's going to work going to spin spin spin and his bibliography savetube Google Drive is my babe sample right now I'm going to go here I'm going to refresh my drive and here is my bib sample and then I'm going to open it let's go I double click I open and here it is perfectly formatted for your work cited page right because you are bibliography needs to be alphabetical by the first entry now I've for some of our resources and they're in the library page and I'm using Encyclopedia Britannica which I can't import into my babe but I used one of their articles so I pick a random article right no not this one I'm going to pick a random article Battle of Chesapeake I don't know sounds interesting and this is the article that I used for my assignment up here at the top is a little check mark that's a sight you going to click on it and here's a few select a citation style MLA APA Harvard or I don't know I'm sticking with my M away I'm going to copy and then I'm going to piece it into my bibliography the only thing that you have to remember is MLA work cited faith alphabetical order by the entry word so here it would be battle so I go to my my big project Mike the battle would go before back and then I would right-click paste without formatting and the formatting is almost correct and the reason why I say almost correct is because I pasted it without formatting I lost the Ice House Britannica School so you go here you go to Britannica School and of course I'm so used to Britannica School now if I would have pasted it with formatting fortunately what happens if you keep the italics in the underlined in the bow what the font is different so you could do it either way you can do paste do us with the formatting and then go back and change the font or you can paste without formatting and then just change the italics whichever is easier for you to remember same thing goes for the Townsend Harris High School databases right when you click on it it's going to ask you for a password to get into databases password is Empire length all lowercase all one word I am going to go to a random database let's see I don't know something interesting using viewpoints I am going to click on global warming and climate change and I'm going to pick on climate change is already hurting kids health this article right and here is the citation MLA 8th Edition I can highlight copy and paste I can save that to my Google Drive separately I'm just going to highlight copy and paste and paste it into my doc it says Schreiber so I just need to make sure all of the business was easy to need to make sure that I pasted in the correct lace alphabetically I'm going to paste it this time with with the formatting and then I will go back and change it to make sure that matches the Times New Roman 12 and is black so you could do it either way that is easier for you uflacker doesn't look black then we talked and that is how you can use my babe to create your work cited page as well as
