Volunteer with the PTA

 

There are many opportunities to be involved with the PTA and the school. The best way to be involved is join one of our committees. If you are interested in joining a committee, please attend the next PTA meeting or send us an email.

The Fundraising Committee is responsible for proposing all fundraising plans to the general membership. We are looking for new and fun ideas to raise funds which help support school activities.

The Hospitality Committee shall provide refreshments at all general PTA meetings during the school year. Committee member are responsible for organizing and seeking sponsors for events.

The Electronic Communications Committee shall post all PTA news and events on the PTA web-site, serve as the Webmaster, and will be responsible for maintaining the web-site during the school year.

The Translation/Membership Committee shall facilitate translation of PTA meeting notices and other materials into languages other than English. The membership committee shall formulate a plan for recruiting new members and updating and maintaining a membership database.

The Alumni Relations Committee shall attend THHS Alumni Association meetings and events during the school year. The committee chairperson shall report back to the general membership at the monthly PTA meetings and shall work to foster a mutually beneficial relationship between the PTA and the THHS Alumni Association.

The Budget Committee shall assist the treasurer in preparing interim and annual financial statements. The treasurer shall provide financial reports at all PTA meetings.
